Cold coffee is one of the most popular, refreshing and rejuvenating drink on a hot summer day. It can be made in minutes by blending few simple ingredients like milk , instant coffee, sugar and vanilla ice cream. Ice cream makes the coffee rich , creamy and delightful. It tastes just like your favorite coffee shop and can be enjoyed in mornings or hot summer afternoons.
This recipe can be personalized according to your taste and the ingredients you have in hand. This is the basic version but you can add more flavors like cinnamon, chocolate, hazelnut etc.
Ingredients :
- Coffee: I have used instant coffee powder . It is readily available in shops and its easy to use. If you want stronger coffee, increase the amount of coffee.
- Milk: Use full fat milk for a creamy coffee. For vegan version, use any dairy free milk like almond milk or soy milk.
- Sugar : I have used white sugar to sweeten the coffee . You can use sweeteners of your choice.
- Vanilla ice cream: The addition of ice cream makes it extra creamy and rich. Use best quality vanilla ice cream . For a chocolatey flavor you can use chocolate ice cream or if you can skip it if you don’t want to use ice cream. For a creamy coffee just you use cream.
- Ice cubes: For a frothy coffee.
- Chocolate syrup or chocolate shavings: for the garnish
- Whipped Cream : for the garnish (optional)

Cafe Style Cold Coffee
Cafe style thick, creamy and invigorating coffee made easily with few basic ingredients

Ingredients
- 1½-2 tbsp instant coffee powder ( adjust according to how strong you want the coffee)
- 1½ tbsp sugar (adjust according to taste)
- 1½ cup full fat milk
- 2 tbsp warm milk
- 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
- 4-5 ice cubes
- 2 tbsp Chocolate syrup for garnishing
Instructions
- Garnish 2 glasses by drizzling some chocolate syrup inside the glasses . Keep the glasses in fridge for 5 mins.
- Add coffee, sugar and warm milk in a small bowl. Mix until the coffee and sugar are completely dissolved.
- Add this coffee mixture to a blender jar.
- Next, add 1.5 cups of milk, vanilla ice cream and ice cubes and blend for few 1-2 minutes until the coffee is thick, creamy and frothy
- Transfer to the glasses with chocolate syrup . The foam will settle down after some time so its best served immediately. You can add some whipped cream on top.
